What If….God’s View of Us

Good Morning.

I know I posted on this topic last time but he feeling to write on it again has not left. I believe that I am being guided to write it again. I do not know why but, to be faithful, I am doing it again. Words might be a little different but the thoughts are the same. I pray before I write and ask God to only allow me to write what His will allows. I have never felt the desire to write on the same topic as I do now. I feel that maybe I didn’t accomplish God’s will with the first post and need to do it again. Thank you.

1 John 1:7 New Living Translation (NLT)

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Sin

Holy means “to be set apart” The Sabbath is holy because it is set apart from the rest of the days. As a child of God, God sees us as holy. We are set apart. Not because we are but because He sees us through the saving blood of Christ. I believe that God sees the good that we are capable of even when we cant see it in ourselves or each other.

In the old covenant, blood had to be spilled for our sins. That blood didn’t cure us of our sin but it was a temporary covering of our sin. The blood that Christ shed on the cross for us was permanent. As Jesus said, “it is finished”, He was saying that the price for our sin has been paid in full. There will not have to be anymore bloodshed for our sin.

That final bloodshed has created a way for God to see us as redeemed. We don’t always see it but God does.

Problems

We run around this world and we all have them. Problems. Troubles. Challenges. Call them whatever you want but we have them and deal with them everyday we walk this earth. We see the problems and, by the grace of God, deal with them. But how does God see them?

Opinion

Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Translation (NLT)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Now, here is the opinion part.

If God sees us as Holy due to the sacrifice on the cross then how does he see our problems? We know that we have a loving God and that works all things for His glory and our good. He teaches us in Jeremiah that He has plans and they are good. I feel that the problems that God allows in our lives are more than just a distraction. They teach us. They grow us. They guide us.

I do not feel that all of the problems in our lives, God sees as problems. He sees them as plans.

As God sees us redeemed through the blood of Christ, I think he sees our problems as plans through the blood of Christ.

Example

We are running around dealing with a problem and trying to solve it or just deal with it and God is looking at us and he nudges Peter and says “Dude (Yes, I think He might say that) look at how the plan is coming together. I know that (insert name) thinks it is a problem but if they only knew the plans that I have for them and what this is getting them ready for”.

If God sees us through the blood of Christ then I feel that He must see our problems the same way.

As I think about this topic, It allows me a different perspective on the situations that I deal with. It offers me strength in God to know that He has plans for me and will never allow too much in my life and it will all be used for His glory and my good.

Blessing.
